WHAT THE FRAMEWORK
HAS LEARNED

Not a findings page. A working document — what the evidence base supports, what it doesn't, and what the framework is currently arguing with itself about.

LIVING DOCUMENT — last updated May 30, 2026

STRONG / ESTABLISHED
SURVIVES ACROSS CASE FILES 001–003
FINDING 04
Primary vs Secondary Resistance ↗

Secondary human constructs — symbolic, institutional, narrative, cultural — can transmit force all the way into primary biological survival layers. Demonstrated strongly in both Money and Reputation. Stress, illness, exposure, death: all reachable from entirely secondary origin points.

FINDING 03
Mediation Density ↗

Objects that span more interfaces behave like natural forces rather than simple tools. Money showed extreme density. Self complicated the metric — function (binding) can matter as much as raw interface count. Not all interfaces are equal.

RECURRING MECHANISM
Compression as Recurring Mechanism

Many powerful stack phenomena function as compression schemes. Three instances across three case files.

MONEY — compresses scarcity / value REPUTATION — compresses social modeling (models of models) SELF — compresses distributed experience into apparent unity
Strong recurring pattern. Still based on three data points. Risk of becoming a catch-all.

EMERGING MECHANICS
APPEARING IN DATA — NOT YET CONFIRMED
Multiple Attractors

Objects enter the stack through different primary domains rather than a single universal pathway. Money enters coordination-first. Reputation enters identity/belonging-first. The entry point may shape everything downstream.

ONLY OBSERVED IN: CF-001 MONEY  ·  CF-002 REPUTATION
Interface Recursion

Some objects create recursive loops — compressing models of models — rather than simple activation. Most clearly demonstrated by Reputation. Reputation is not about you. It is about what others model about what others model about you.

ONLY OBSERVED IN: CF-002 REPUTATION
Transformative Translation

High-density or high-recursion objects tend to undergo phase changes, bleeding into other domains. Coordination tools become identity systems. Identity systems become meaning structures. The bleeding appears non-accidental.

ACTIVE HYPOTHESES & FRAMEWORK REVISIONS
THE FRAMEWORK ARGUING WITH ITSELF
H-01
The Domain Problem

Response domains — Identity, Belonging, Meaning, Agency — may not be fundamental primitives. They may be generated as adaptive responses to resistance rather than pre-existing structures waiting to be activated.

If true: most of Findings 02–05 need re-reading.
H-02
Binding Precedes Domains

A binding process — unifying distributed interface activity into an apparent single experiencer — may be required before coherent response domains can form. Strongly pressured by the Self investigation. We think this happens. We have not watched it happen.

H-03
Conditions vs Objects

Some phenomena — Self as the clearest case — function more as structural conditions that make investigation possible than as standard objects within the stack. You cannot observe the stack without Self doing the observing. This requires a new archive distinction.

PERSISTENT ANOMALIES
REALITY FREEDOM AGENCY MEANING TRANSCENDENCE

These resist classification. Not because the framework is wrong, but because they sit at the joints of the model — where the model bends, they collect.

CONCEPT WHERE IT SITS WHY IT WON'T STAY
Reality Substrate? Pre-substrate? Both the ground and the question. Cannot be placed without begging the question.
Freedom Agency? Meaning? Both? Appears differently depending on which domain is asking. No stable location.
Agency Candidate fourth domain May be a domain, a dimension crossing all domains, or a subset of Identity + Coordination. Resists clean placement.
Meaning Domain? Emergent property? Functions as both a response to resistance and as an outcome of other responses. Two things simultaneously.
Transcendence Unknown May point to something above the stack, outside it, or it may be the most elaborate compression scheme of all.

KNOWN WEAKNESSES
SELF-ASSESSMENT
[W-01]
Extremely small evidence base
Three case files. Two of the three objects are things people carry in their heads. This is not a broad evidence base.
[W-02]
Heavy dependence on symbolic, narrative, and human-centered objects
Money, Reputation, Self — all live primarily in human cognition and coordination. The framework has not been tested against anything cold.
[W-03]
Limited testing against material, technical, or "cold" systems
Infrastructure, engineering, physical substrate — none investigated yet. No case files on concrete, roads, or soil. Until Case File 004.
[W-04]
Risk of overgeneralizing from introspective or self-referential phenomena
Self was the third case file. The framework may have been contaminated by looking at itself too early.
[W-05]
Compression currently explains many things
Danger of it becoming a catch-all or overly flexible concept. A concept that explains everything explains nothing.

"The risk of overgeneralizing from introspective phenomena is not a future risk. It is a current condition."
