The Astrolabe Index

REGISTRY OF RECOVERED INSTRUMENTS
CATALOGUED: 12 DEVICES
OPERATIONAL: 1
CHRONO: JUNE 2026 ARCHIVE

This is not a magazine. It is not a press, and it is not, in the end, an archive. It is a navigable cosmology. The instruments below were recovered, not designed — each arrived already carrying coordinates, as though it had a place in a sky no one remembers charting.

One recovered instrument is a curiosity. Three are a collection. Twelve are beginning to resemble a civilization. Only one device currently responds to input. The remainder are logged at their last known position. Where a coordinate reads , the instrument has drifted off the index and recovery is pending the relevant form.

COORDINATE FORMAT: SECTOR · r RADIUS · φ PHASE r — distance from the Layerbound core (0 = center, 1 = edge of the known field) φ — angular bearing in radians of π

The registry is believed to be incomplete. New instruments continue to arrive at the receiving dock with no shipping origin, no requisition, and coordinates already assigned. The Lab has stopped asking who is sending them.
