Three recurring response types emerged across all investigations. They are not peers of reality — they are answers to it. The substrate generates pressure. The domains respond. The artifacts are what the responses build.
The previous model treated Meaning, Identity, and Coordination as peers — three equal domains of experience. The supply chain investigation broke that framing. Coordination turned out to be one mechanism inside a deeper domain: the drive to reduce failure. What emerged from the revision was not a flat set of domains but a stack. Substrate generates pressure. Domains generate responses. Responses generate artifacts. The domains are not features of reality. They are recurring answers to it.
Not a response domain. The conditions that require a response. Every concept the investigation has touched runs against these. There is no opting out.
Human constructs that embody one or more response domains. Not the domains themselves — what the domains produce when they encounter substrate pressure over time.
The supply chain investigation was not a case about logistics. It was the first case to expose the internal structure of a response domain: Coordination → Stability → Availability → Reliability. That is a stack, not a single thing. Reliability may be to social systems what Significance is to myth and Coherence is to identity — the organizing logic of the tier, not just one item in it.
Agency cuts across all three response domains. Significance can be high agency or low agency. Coherence can be high agency or low agency. Reliability can be high agency or low agency. Like temperature cuts across matter — it is a property of state, not a domain of response.
If Reliability is the apex domain — the organizing logic beneath social systems — what would it mean to find a concept that activates only Significance, only Coherence, but never Reliability? The control group is not granite. It is whatever a purely personal experience looks like when it generates no coordination at all. That concept has not yet been found.
